Jim,
You're kidding, right? The last generation Subaru
Impreza WRX has been dominating the rally scene
for the last few years. In this years' WRC, they
stomped the competition. There is no question that
it is a superlative race car.

If you want to critcize the fit and finish and
the interior, go right ahead, I agree it's a cheap
feeling car. However, the chassis is excellent
and with a few judicious mods, will run circles
around pretty much every current Audi out there.
Your 90tq may be much less money to build and
to initially purchase, but let's be realistic-
you're not keeping up with a Scooby with the full
280hp, Prodrive suspension, STi brakes and
decent tires unless you do extensive mods to your
90's chassis and are a much better driver than the
person in the Scooby.

I love Audis, but cars like the Impreza P1 and
STi v.5 crush everything that Audi has ever put
out on the road, with the exception of the RS cars.
