The text said that this was a design study that Audi made AFTER they saw the
success, both in rally and in the public, the sportq made. As you know, the
sport was only produced in some 250 or so cars to get homologized for Gr.B
rallying, and was not very stable for daily use because of the short
wheelbase. This long study was probably made to see if there was a market for
such a car, but I guess this market fell out when the Gr.B cars were banned
from racing.
The text also tell the reader that the car has a lot in common with the
"regular" sport, that be the carbon body panels, only the roof and doors are
stock Ur parts. The rear fenders and of course the rear seat are the main
things that differ this car from the sportq. Even the dashboard with the high
mounted dials are sportq spec, as is the weight, only 1300 kg.
