that's what I don't get on my KH type engine. From the vac. layout diagram,
the solenoid seems to switch the upper hose from a line going to a
pre-turbo hose [always vacuum], and the other hose goes to the manifold
thru a back pressure valve. I don't get how the MAC 07 ECU controls boost
if in fact the wg spring is only rated at 1.2-1.3 bar. The mappings in the
ECU, according to SJM, are for 1.4 bar. How does the earlier ECU regulate
this? Does it regulate it just like a freq. valve by turning on and off or
what? Thanks again for any info.
