There are 16 error codes you can get.  These would be shown on channel 1:

00 - No errors recognized
01 - Inside temp sensor (open circuit)
02 - Inside temp sensor (short circuit)
03 - Outside temp sensor, plenum (open circuit)
04 - Outside temp sensor, plenum (short circuit)
05 - Outside temp sensor , cowl (open circuit)
06 - Outside temp sensor, cowl (short circuit)
07 - Feedback potentiometer on adjustment motor for temperature regulation
flap, open
08 - Feedback potentiometer on adjustment motor for temperature regulation
flap, short
09 - Coolant temp sensor, open
10 - Coolant temp sensor, short
11 - Inside temp sensor-roof (open)
12 - Inside temp sensor-roof (short)
13 - Electrical system voltage was one below 9.5v but greater than 5v during
current driving period
14 - compressor off, high pressure switch cycled 8 times
15 - Adjustment motor for temperature regulating flap is set improperly
16 - High pressure switch has open circuit OR cycled at least 1 time during
driving period

Those are the error codes that come out of my 88-92 80/90 Bentley manual.

There is no way that I could relate the info that you get from the other
channels.  Many are resistance values for temp sensors that you have to
check against a chart to find the actual temps.  I found that my inside
"roof" temp sensor is bad (when it was about 25F in the car the temp sensor
thought it was about 90F....no wonder the fan wouldn't kick on).   There are
also graphic displays that use "marks" on the screen to signify
information..(i.e. compressor on, flap open, etc..)  As well as a few
channels that are NOT used (13 & 21)!!
