My 1987 5ktq Avant was also rack-less and I liked it that way ;-) I used
a Yakima on it but there are several aftermarket rack makers to choose
from, Yakima and Thule come to mind. I wouldn't install an Audi O.E.
rack on a rack-less Avant myself...but that is because I prefer the
rack-less (or was that wreckless?) look and once you pop holes, etc.,
you can't ever fill them up again neatly without major expense.
