Rear Sway Bar (MAC)

Just to add to this- my own, totally unscientific experience-
my friend's '88 Jetta GLI 16v had the full Neuspeed kit done to
it- lowering springs, Bilsteins, 22mm front, 28mm rear bar, upper
strut bar. The car cornered very, very well. I can't tell you
how neutral it was because I never drove it enough, but it really
stuck to the road. This is on stock sized Bridgestone RE71s. I
drove the car before the mods and after and there was no comparison.

For the 80, I'd take the same approach as the VWs- upper strut bar,
front and rear bars. Just go easy on the front bar as you may end
up with more understeer if you stiffen it up too much, especially
considering that Alexander has a stiff coilover suspension already.
I'd also go with the biggest bar that is practically doable in the back,
to make the car more neutral.

Alexander- does your car do the classic VW "lift up the inside rear"
trick when cornering?
