5KCSTQ - clunk in my rear :-) help please

I replaced both the inboard (rear) and outboard (front) busings in my
trapezoidal link. My clunk went away.

Also, it's possible for the shock mount to break, allowing the the shock
mounting point to move, causing a clunk.

Folks,
I've had a horrible clunk in the left rear corner ever since I have owned
the
car. I have replaced the transverse link, replaced the wheel bearing and
the
inboard trapeziodal bushing. Still clunks.
The clunk occurs going over bumps and is worse under acceleration.
I think I'm left with two possibilities: 1. the axle 2. the diff mounts.
I've noticed that if I move the axle by hand it has a bit of a metal clunk
to
it when it reaches the end of its play and the other side doesn't. How much
work is it to replace the axle - does it come with the joints? Would you
concur that this is the next step? Any ideas on cost?

Thanks in advance,
Randy...
