You push the lever forward on my 87 Avant. So far as I know, there is no
other way.

Subject: '87 Avant...Rear wiper Help
Avant Friend,
I just got the car on the road and in the recent snow storm I went to use
the rear wiper. I assumed it operated like my 200 Avant and simply push the
wiper lever forward. Not so. There's no way this lever goes forward. Is
there another way to operate the rear wiper/washer in an '87 that is
different from the '89 200 or did someone at sometime (I'm probably the 3rd
owner) replace the lever with one from a sedan that has no bend in the
shaft. There's nothing in Bentley's and I don't have the drivers manual for
the car. I expect the wiper motor works if I can find how the hell to start
it. Any help is appreciated, or please make me feel very stupid for missing
something.
Thanks!
