the reason I promote it is my coupe was exhibiting a pretty bad hot
start problem, though not all the time.

A new starter reduced it to a few cranks when it would have been 30-45
seconds.  It also spun the engine twice as fast... guess I really needed
it!

the volt gauge on the car would deflect down to below 8v when cranking
before, from what I've seen the car won't run below 8.5-9v or so (from
trying to limp home with no alt belt and old battery!)

it can be tough.   starts easy at #1 and gets more and more awkward on
the way back, by #5 I think I had to get reckless and just use a
screwdriver alone!
