if it's anything liek the type 85 setup, they switches are very similar,
but not enough so... the type w/o rear wiper is prevented from moving
forward by some protrusion, plastic as I recall.  But the contact that
would be made in that position, the brass strip, is missing.  It would
be well nigh impossible to add it tot he wrong style switch.  Same
essential molding and plug shape, so the wrong one could be installed.

Of course, a fix short of finding the correct multifunction switch would
be to run two wires from the appropriate contatcs (the orphaned on and
the one it would be switched to) to an auxiliary switch in your chosen
convenient location.
