full size spare tires....why i dont like donuts!

yes, but if i have a blowout somewhere in the middle of the night , i dont 
want to sacrifice travel time and peace of mind by running a undersized, 
thin, spindly little mickey mouse spare tire..  the type44 is a heavy car.   
i dont lose any trunk space w/ my full size spare (with OEM molded cover) .  
On my Gf's car ('97 Jetta )  she had her RF tire blow out...we put the donut 
on, and shortly therafter (same day) hit a minor pothole and the donut 
instantaneously blew out and bent the rim..    anyway, i cant see anything 
positive about the little donut spares.  if you got the space for a full size 
one, then use it.
