Minnesota Ice Events Report

About 30 cars participated in an ice trials event on Sunday, 1/21 put
together by Quattro Club members Keith Anderson and Chris Deladi of Anderson
Motorsports, with Mike Courtney providing the plow.  SCCA provided admin and
the permit on Lake Cynthia south of the Twin Cities.  Most cars were Audis
along with a half-dozen VW's, a Porsche Carrera 4 and a couple of hot
(?!)Saturn Coupes.

A number of Ur S4's, S4tt's, an A4 1.8T Avant, a V8, 90q's, 4000's
(including Deladi's hot 10v turbo 4000q "Fried Chicken" with studs)
participated.  Audi Coupes were represented by Keith Anderson's incredible
race-prepped 10v turbo stud shod Urq, my eS2 with Hakka NRW-H's, and a
well-driven black 1990 CQ (Ohio license plate "Rally") owned by recent
transplant from Ohio Denis Ryan.

Lots of slippery fun!  Learning how to countersteer while doing four-wheel
drifts and trying to avoid plowing in turns and spin outs with left foot
brake/right foot gas!  Spinning all four wheels with the turbo kicked in on
the back straight before this really cool high speed double chicane and
tough hairpin.  Wow! Looks like we're going to do it again this Sunday,
1/28.
