Wow. Talk about dumb luck. I went out this afternoon to check out a '93 Volvo
850 GLT here in town that was for sale at a local Volvo dealer. Turns out
they took the thing off the market. I was told they took the car into the
shop yesterday, and they discovered it needed $4,000 work for it. So, I
headed off for our local European used car dealer. Pulling in, a see an Audi
with no model indication sitting towards the rear of the lot.

Well, I finally ask if the car is for sale. I am told it is, but they only
got it three days ago, so it has not been detailed or advertised anywhere.
The guy who greets me is not an Audi expert, and says so up front, but tells
me his manager is nuts about this car, passing up a slew of '98, '99 Benzes
the past couple nights. I see the guy, and ask "Is that an Audi 2.."

He replies "200 20V Turbo Quattro". Friends, I have hit the mother load. In a
matter of two minutes I am screaming up an entrance ramp to the turnpike. I
have never driven this model before, but I was absolutely smitten. When we
returned to the dealership, I bought her on the spot.

She is a '91, last year made. Has 91,000 miles, is a gorgeous dark blue with
grey leather interior. The dealer is having the hood repainted as some bird
droppings mucked it up a bit. Everything worked just fine, although I did
detect a little brake shudder on hard braking, and I was assured this would
be corrected before I take delivery of the car late this week.

Any 200 20V Quattro owners out there, please e-mail me and let me know about
your experiences, and things I need to be wary of so I can take good care of
her. I would appreciate any responses.

Meanwhile, I am really excited to get this car...

Tom,
1991 Audi 200 20V Quattro
1995 Audi 90
