ah, forgot two things.
a)there's a recall for the A/C clutch relay; listen for a pop, with 
the A/C clutch engaging, with the radio on.
b)there is a recall considered MANDATORY for the airbag sensor.  It 
aged differently than they expected it to, so it needed to be 
replaced; supposedly gets more sensitive than it should.
Both can be quickly determined by going to any Audi service dept with 
the VIN number and asking for a printout of the car's history(they 
will have anything that -Audi- paid for, so you'll see warrantee 
services and such.)  If the guy tells you he doesn't know the 
numerical codes, he's full of crap.  It's part of his job to read 
those codes.  Ask for a paper copy.
