Gas in the Oil, 5KCST

I'd check to see that the injectors aren't leaking. The sound is the fuel
pump. You should jumper the f.pump relay and pull out each injector to see
if any fuel comes out [car/ign. off, f.pump on]. Also you could have a
problem w/ a leaky cold start valve. Remove the valve from the back of the
manifold but leave the fuel line connected. Turn the ign. key to ON, and
check for any leaks. Also a really rich mixture could cause fuel wash on
the cylinders. But this would make the car noticeably less powerful.

I bet it's just a leaky injector pouring fuel into the cylinders when the
engine shuts off and ends up in the oil, and you mention a lot short trips.
A residual fuel pressure test would tell you a lot about the fuel system
including leaky injectors, but you need a fuel pressure gauge. Be careful,
cuz fuel in oil means more cylinder wear. The gas sort of dissolves the
oil...gas is a solvent...good luck.
