Headliner and roof mouldings....

Hi!
I've removed all the trimmings from the headliner this evening and am
ready to lower the moulded lining with its saggy old cloth, but I have a
few questions before I mess up the removal. :)
It takes quite a heavy pull to get the lining to start coming away from
the glue that holds it on. Anyone have tips on loosening it without
damaging it or should I just pull damn hard?
It is worth ordering that tube of headliner glue from Audi (part AKL 407
000 05) or what else can I use?
ETKA shows 2 headlinings for the car. The one is marked as beige-grey. I
assume this is as on my car which has a light cream coloured headliner.
What was the other colour? Black? I am thinking of triming the headliner
in black and getting the 2 cover strips in black to match.
Door mouldings next. The black mouldings with chrome inserts that start
at the base of the A-pillars and follow the roof line to down behind the
rear quarter windows and ends at the base of the D-pillars. How do these
come off? ETKA indicate 18 pop rivets. I assume these are under the
chrome insert. How does the insert come out to get to those rivets,
assuming they're under the trim?
The reason I ask is that I've been considering a paint job for a while
and I'm not keen on half-measures with something like this. I'd prefer
pulling the trim and riveting it back in later. If possible.
Thanks. :)
G.
