4000 A/C Observations and questions

Thanks for the info. Still looking for that ambient sensor. There is
nothing on my plenum that looks like a sensor, probe etc.
Should I be looking in the engine compartment plenum or the air box of the
ventilation system?
I know you ditch this stuff as soon as you can, but just looking for your
educated guess.
