running on no alternator?

Hey all.. non audi question (for once it was my pontiac that decided to
break down :) but all pontiac bashing aside... my alternator is shot and
due to work/time issues i wont be able to put a new one in for about a
week.

Question:  If I charge the battery each night, will I be able to drive
about 14 miles <there is NEVER traffic and only 3 stoplights) <highway
driving> to work and then 14 miles back each day?

I do not think the alternator is putting out any juice, but it might be
putting out some.. it started making noises about 500 miles ago, I watched
the battery voltage fluctuate between 10 and 12v.. then in the past 10
miles i drove it the car went berzerk and died by the side of the road <at
which time I was 100mi from home so I got a free tow from Amoco motoring
club <something every audi-owner should have :>
