headlight relays

Hi. I'm about to install relays for the headlights in my4kcsQ and based
on info listed  will use 1 relay for the high beams and another for the
low. My question is...what do you do with the wiring for the second
headlight ( the wiring from the first being used to trigger the 2
relays?).
Also, what kind of connector do you use for direct power from the
battery and is there any special means of attachment or precautions?
