Failed emmisions

Some states like Washington Emission testing has to have the Idle at no more
than 1000 RPMs
otherwise they will not pass your car.

What I did with my 89 200 TQ in April was to add a quart of fluid that is
supposed to guarantee
that you pass emissions or your money back. After adding drive the car unil
your tank
is empty then refill with gas and go in for the emissions test. The fluid is
supposed to clean your
engine of all contaminants including your injectors. I got the stuff at Shucks
Auto and I don't
know how much it helped but my emissions were at: cruise HC: 0004, CO: 00.03 and
at
idle HC: 0005 and CO: 00.00. These figures are only slightly lower that 2 years
ago but I do think
it helped alittle. I used it not because my car failed before but have had
other cars fail the test
and am paranoid that my Audi would fail. You might want to try it is everything
else fails.
