Don't think the cam timing is off the dot on the cam sprocket was spot on
where it should be and the flywheel at 0 deg on the marker through the
gearbox, it's possible i have muddled up a couple of the injectors. With
regards to the knocking noise from the top end it's not lifters it's a
heavier sound more rythmic and slower than lifters with no oil. The oil leak
from the pump is a direct result of the repair that was made following the
shearing of the idle roller bolt.

That sucks. I'm sorry. Can you pull and replace just the oil pump, or is
the whole motor shot?
The knocking from the cam area could have been old / dry lifters not getting
oil, rather than something more serious.
How long did you run it with low oil pressure?
