Like Alan said, if its a cis car, the screwdriver (or prybar) trick works.  
I don't pull the cover unless they are really in there.  Just watch the 
knuckles.  Maybe I should by some Johnson & Johnson stock tonight.  Don't 
forget to get on your knees, burn a chicken and two toads, sprinkle spring 
water boiled in a kettle over a fire of oak and 20 pine needles on your 
motor, and hope like hell the stainless air shrouds come out with the 
injectors.
