yes

exhaust, yes (but you should use a 4kq (84-87 90Q) EM/DP or the one that
comes with the NG)
intake, no. the NG has the injectors in the 2 piece IM, the injector
lines will also be different.

being careful about knocking due to high compression (10:1).

2.3 = 130 hp @ 5700, 140 ft lbs @ 4500
2.1 = 100 hp @ 5100, 112 ft lbs @ 3000
source: audiworld.com spec pages, these are for US cars though. figures
might be higher depending on emissions setup.

cools pistons with oil when the going gets tough. Engine becomes quasi
oil cooled.

if you get the engine, get the injector lines, intake manifold parts,
intake boot, what the heck, get the engine management harness and
computer too...
you are better off with an NF head (NG/NF blocks are the same though)
because it will fit all your existing parts. It also will not have the
fitting for the brake vacuum pump. I believe the head alone is nice
upgrade, due to valving, cam etc. I do not know what the compression
will be with a NF/NG head and KE block though.
