Repair of Copper Tubing/Pipe

The reason I am contemplating replacing the evaporator is the copper 
tube/pipe that comes out of it to the accumulator/drier.  That copper line 
has gotten pretty beat up.  It has frozen to the accumulator/drier.  In 
turning the nut, the line also twists.  The pipe is frozen to the nut.  I 
have tried various ways to free it up.  It is jammed in there pretty good.  
It seems it was built this way.

Is there any way to effect a repair of copper pipe?  Once it gets distorted, 
is there a way to work it to make it useable again?
