Strange transmission noise + low speed bucking/jumping

I had a strange noise soming from my '90 200TQ transmission today.
After engaging 3rd gear, I let the clutch out and heard a kinda
rubbing noise from under the car. When the clutch was released, the
noise disappeared. Only occuring while using the clutch. I did the
downshift to do engine braking, and did not have my foot on the gas
pedal. Anyone know this noise? Probably nothing harmful, but better
safe than sorry.
Another question: When I drive slowly on 1st gear and take my foot on
and off the gas (light to no pressure) and then depress it again, the
whole car bucks and almost jumps. I can avoid this by using the clutch
a bit, but what causes this? I know it's common in 1st gear in all
cars, but it's more noticeable in my car than other cars (including my
previous type 44). Can it be bad engine/transmission mounts, or is it
just the deceleration cut-off that opens and closes in a not so smooth
action?
