Well Noelle (ooooh that rhymes.....Sorry =-),
This'll sound like the ubiquitous answer, but check out Scott Mockry's
excellent web page, www.sjmautotechnik.com (I think, other wise do a
search on "Mockry", it'll be the first thing to pop-up) and go right to
the section, "The ABC's of Boost". From what I know, this car seems to
have been badly tampered with. The chip seems like it's preventing the
car from getting full boost, or there could be another problem. It could
be either relatively simple or tough, but Scott's site could help you
figure things out and determine whether or not you really want to get
involved with the car. My gut says, stay away, but if you are adventurous
and feel kinda confident with a wrench and a multimeter, you may be able
to determine whether or not that 20VT is a dog or a diamond. In some
respects, it'll be a shame to let it go to waste, 20VT's are rare enough,
but in wagon form, now THAT's rare. Personally, I want one!
