Hi Tess
I would say you started about 17psi too high. I haven't used them
myself (I know better) but I think cold starting pressures should
usually be in the mid-high 20's for track use. Hot or autocross
pressures should be in mid 30's.
PS, for a good street/track tire you may want to try the Toyo Proxes
RA-1. Longer wear and better grip than the Yoko. Great in the rain
when left at full tread. I'm using Kumho V700's now, gained grip but
lost some wear, I use them when a timer is running, the Toyo's when
just playing around.
