finishing up the re-conditioning and installation of the golf gearbox at the
audi dealers and they had just taken delivery of a moderately new a4 1.8tq.
tehy called me over to have a look.

the owner wanted them to work on the car,  and to replace a few bits and
pieces that had got a little damp....

when the pillock decided that he wanted to use it to cross a river!

car is a write-off, but possibly a good project car for someone.  full water
damage inside to the tops of the door frames.  no motor damage, but all
bearings, electrical controllers, etc require replacement.  try $2k for the
airconditioning controller for starters...
