did this on my 90Q, but I had a wrecked car which I could line things up
on to make sure there was room for the inside part of the light where I
put it, ie no metal braces in the way. the wires were not *too* hard to
fiddle past the washers reservoirs...
I used the current USA side lights, as seen on TT, A4, etc. and cut off
the snap-in tab bits. Drilled nasty hole and did my best to rust proof
the metal edges. wired to act as signals and markers.
the lenses are pretty cheap, $8 or so? and I used a piece of wiring from
the TT, about $15-10 or so each, which has the socket, new bulb, and
about six feet of wire. PN's avail if I dig around...
