IM bolt removal - 83 5kt non-quattro

There is indeed one bolt that the downpipe does interfere with.
My solution was to cut a 6 mm allen key to equal lenghth on both arms, to 
form a small "L." This would then engage the offending bolt in a good solid 
fashion.
I then took a "box end" wrench and slipped one end over the allen "L", this 
left the other end as my point of rotational force using any sort of bar that 
would fit the opening in the box end wrench. I was able to use a long bar and 
exert a great deal of torque on the bolt. Which it needed!
This has worked on 3 cars so far.
