there is a company in florida (i think) that makes high quality boot
replacements.
prices are quite reasonable. (<$40us)

i purchased the handbrake boot and one-piece knob and shift boot for my
jetta and was very satisfied.
they make shift boot replacements for some audi models with and without the
knob.
handbrake boots for the early 80's 80/90/4k/etc.
steering wheel refurbishing...
