Hey,
I have the head off of my 87 5KTQ right now. I removed the intake and exhaust then pulled the head off. I left the turbo in the car because I was affraid that the oil lines would break and I was not doing anything to the turbo so I figured leave it where it is. I am not sure how I am going to put it all back together. I would like to put the intake and exhaust manifolds on the head while it is off the car so that I can torque everything to spec. i think in order to get this back on the car, I am going to have to remove the wastegate.

Hi Guys
I'm in the process of removing the head and was wondering which is
easier/better. Leaving the turbo attached to the head and removing
all necessary lines to it? Or removing it from the exhaust manifold
and leaving it in the car?
I'm leaning towards leaving it in the car but somebodies btdt and may
have a reason why not I haven't seen. Opinions anyone?
