TQW as parts truck/weird idle oscillation

I did a similar scenario on a BMW 745i.

Trying to show off, I hit it hard in front of my buddies.  Sure enough, I 
got down the road, and the thing just died.  Barely restarted.
Then, there I was calling from a pay phone in desperation to the one who is 
the Ace mechanic.  "Please come to this gas station and help me get this 
dadgum car going so I get back home!!"

He found it.  The high velocity acceleration had blown apart some hose that 
has to do with the idle control valve, I think.  (Please excuse my lack of 
mech expertise) This hose was some sort of vacuum or pressurized hose on 
the intake side of things.

It sounds like you've done the same thing --
