Yep. On my wife's 200t with aftermarket alarm. She used the keyfob to lock
the car, the key to unlock. Alarm went off.

IIRC, the process I used to resync is as follows:

alarm vehicle with keyfob
unlock with key
relock with key
disarm with keyfob
unlock with key

Open door, breath sigh of relief :)
