strange alarm behavior, 93 100CS

Thanks, Lee, but we're still at square one. Using the IR, we lock the car,
alarm makes no sound. Unlock the car with the key, alarm sets. Relock with
key, alarm makes no beep. press the fob to disarm and it locks and arms.
Perhaps I have the wrong technique here, but it appears the alarm is
supposed to activate with the locking of the car. This is opposite of what
actually happens, despite running through the procedure you outlined. Am I
missing something here? I have 2 other properly operating cars available to
compare, one a nearly identical 93 100CS, but I'm disinclined to start
ripping it apart. Thanks, John
