Hello list,
I seem to have a problem with my brake warning light
going off on my 87 5kq this is what I've just replaced
as of last week,
Brake pressure accumulator a recharge from Russ
Southerlin
I had to allso replace one of the steel lines the one
that goes from the back of the master to the bomb the
threads were striped from the old monkie lad that usta
fix my car about 9 years ago you find the most assinin
things done to you'r car when you happen apon an old
repair,
rear calipers, rear rotors, & pads
front rotors and pads,
stanless brake lines front and back,
ATE super blue brake fluid,
the hose from the bottom of the fill tank to the
bomb,
This is an example of what happens, this just
happened today, I'll sumerize,
I started the car in the mornin(and get the OK
symbol) about 6 AM takes about 20 min to get to work
and no brake warning light,
after I get out of work I'll start the car and get
the OK symbol and no brake light another 20 min home,
get in the car about an hour to two hours later to
get my daughter from school and I get the OK symbol
but pulling down my street the brake warning light
comes on and wont go out
it does'nt nessasarialy come on when I slam on the
brake pedal I could'nt get that far down the road
before the light comes on and stayes on but the pedal
feels good when I did slam the brakes
I did check the fluid levels of both the brakes and
hydrolic system and there perfect
I allso checked for leakes front and back and found
none, I did make sure to bleed the brakes the proper
way per Bentley and did bleed the hydrolic system when
I changed out the old bomb for the recharged unit with
the wheels on jack stands,
I allso just got back from a very long trip just put
4,500 miles on the car in a week and used the brakes
quiet often but nothing out of the ordinary.
I allso checked the bomb for pressure by pumping the
pedal with the car off and seem to get more than
enough pumps before the pedal gets hard.
Any help would be apreciated.
Thanks
Ron
