alternator belt failures

That's the answer IME.  I also tried the cheap,
readily available belts.  Gates, Kelly Springfield,
etc.  They suck.  In this app. anyway.  Finally got
the RIGHT belts.  German made Continentals.  No more
problems.  BTW, I also had sizing and stretch problems
with the PS belt.
