Battery Charge light on startup

Sometimes it's the brushes/regulator, but often it's a crummy connection
on the field exciter wire. the connector on the end rusts out after a
while. Look for a small blue wire going to the back of the alternator.
I chopped off the connector and a half inch of wire, crimped a new one
on, and all was well.
