The wheels you describe sound like UrS4 wheels.

Too bad an Audi gathering never happened- there were enough Audis there to warrant it. One of the bigger racecar owners drives a nice '95.5 S6 Avant.

At least I got to follow a 993 going in, all through some nice twisties (need that suspension badly) that were a lot of fun and followed two stone gray (?) 911 Carreras (mid-'80s) on the way back. I'm happy to report that at least in straight-line acceleration, I could keep up with the 911s and the 993.
