Blau let me down

Just when you think it's safe to go back in the garage........a few
weeks ago, one of my front wheel bearings on my 200 Q started making
noise. So, I checked a few local sources, and got prices from $95 to
$120, and three to four days to get one. Then I checked the trusty
Blaufergnugen website, and they had it for $50. So, I ordered one.
For some reason, it didn't ship for two days.....but then I got it
overnight. The next trick- finding someone to install it. That took a
week, but I got an appointment for this afternoon at a reputable
shop. It took them most of the afternoon to get the strut assembly
off, and the old bearing out, and then they discover that the new
bearing is too small. DOH!
Too late in the day to overnight one from anywhere local, and Blau is
already closed for the day. Lucky for me, I had a spare (borrowed)
car available to get me home. Still, I really HATE when this kind of
thing happens. I'm not having a good car year. I want my MGB back.
At least it's problems were predictable. OK, I'm done ranting now.
Back to the dragracing thread.
