is this true what they are saying about the 20v???
on paper the uk 20v is 35hp up on the 10v and a few pounds more torque, i
also believe the power band is wider by 500 rpm or so, is this correct?? how
can the 20v be no better than the10v, i personally was looking at this as
the way forwards, and was hoping with revised fuelling, inlet and outlet
manifolds, gas flowed head and a bit of cam timing tweaking for a good stab
at 200hp, which makes for a more interesting project in my book than a turbo
conversion. still if i ever see a supercharger in a
scrapyard...................................................................

> Yes, I agree too, there is just not much you can do with a NA 20v,
compression is already 10.3:1, the head flows-too well, and cams don't seem
to help either. The 2.6 conversion is not worth it IMO, mainly because the
stock fuel system can't supply it anyway. Try a good, free flowing exhaust,
and that's about it. The motor will never have the good low end of the 10v,
and unless you can take the compression up a few points, there is not much
use.

good consideration in IMO, drop in an NG bottom end to lower compression. A
10v MC is totally doable, but I agree with Jim, the 80/90 is really the same
car from the driver's seat (except its 2-300lbs lighter), and you can get
them very cheaply to start out with. You can see what I did to mine
here-www.80tq.com
