My first question to ask you would be "how much money are you willing to
spend?"

I guess all the general mods can be made to the body and suspension, so you
likely want to know about getting more power out of the engine.

As fas as the engine goes, I think most people will agree that the stock n/a
engine is simply far too expensive to work on if you want serious horsepower
gains. I suppose you could crank a few more hp out of it if you change the
exhuast, get larger pistions, larger valves etc etc, the whole rebuild bit.
But it is very expensive and the gains are small. So, for the most hp for
your money, you would want to swap in a 5 cylinder turbo, if you have the
budget and the patience. This method seems to be the most popular idea
amongst CGT owners. Whether we have the time, money, or ambition to do so is
another story.
