We have a local guy that campaigns a GT in SCCA and does very well. Watch your
tire size and grip. He spent 2 years and mucho dinero sorting out wheel bearing
and diff failures. He now runs 5000 bearings in modified strut housings and a
specially machined quaife (kept shearing bolts/pins off). 'Course, running 15+
wreckers and a 10 bay shop he can afford it. He also runs a GTI and a Merc 2.3
16V.
I've seen great picts of him at Atlanta doing a three wheel drift with a front
wheel a good 3 inches off the ground. You can literally leap on the car and the
suspension moves maybe an inch.
