quick to judge?

Several weeks ago I had the local shop flush the
radiator on my '91 80q in preparation for the summer
swelter. Several days later I noticed a small coolant
leak but didn't have time to investigate (new baby).
As it turns out (now that I can think semi-straight),
the plastic top of the main radiator is cracked around
the small gold bolt on the top.

Question: WOuld the shop have had to remove/mess with
this bolt when they flushed/pressurized the system???

I'd hate to pass blame on this, especially since it's
a 10 year old part.....but.....
