*sigh* HID lights under attack

(1) They're brighter (but I guess I said that already).

(2) They might aimed "up" when the mechanism jams.

As someone who drives a 14-yr old Audi and wonders whether his window
will get stuck every time he uses it, I just have to wonder about
self-levelling headlights. I have no idea what the mechanism looks like
or how quickly it adjusts. Anyone care to explain their operation?
