Clutch work involves????

I don't know if it'll be the same as my car if your car is different
(87 4k Q Sedan) but my slave cylinder exploded once and it wasn't pretty. I
had to have the clutch replaced and the slave and Master both replaced. The
master had been damaged from an earlier replacement and both had been
destroyed in the aftermath. Normally you wouldn't have to have the clutch
replaced in this type of situation, but the slave sprayed all over the
clutch and soaked it nicely. The clutch wasn't to much more to do so I had
it done.
There was one thing that worried me I should mention. The chamber
on the top of my tranny where the slave rests had a crack and looked like it
was on it's way towards separating right off the body of the tranny itself,
which would leave the slave cylinder dangling useless. My mechanic assured
me there was almost nothing he could do without major $$$ and time (which
means even more $$$). I'd look at that.
