We just replaced all four lowers on a '96 A 4Q *k miles, a '98 A6Q 51 k miles
(same part number) and a '98 A4Q 42k miles, and my brother in law now needs
them on his '98 A4 Q 32k miles. All just this week and have done numerous car
previosly. We buy the parts thru the after market, a supplier in Chicago, and
he has now run out of stock. He has six hundred sets on order.
Don't worry, Audi knows there is a problem, but as usual, they are unwilling
to step up to the plate and take care of their customers. Look how long it
took for them to recall the s-cars due to a fire danger under the hood with a
leaking fuel line (90psi) next to the turbo. what's really frustrating is
that I expect Audi buys these from a vendor rather than make them themselves
so why not hit the vendor for the expense?
