BTW, I don't think temperature makes any difference on mine, although
I've only had it a few days now, but it's certainly noticeable right now
with relatively warm temperatures.
Shifter bushings, eh? I'll mention that to my mechanic. He talked
about some 'hub' that can get slightly out of position so that my 3rd
and 5th gears at the 'top' will touch it or something. Said it wasn't
anything to worry about, but he would maybe have a look. I'll mention
shifter bushings to him...would be nice to fix that, as I use 3rd around
town a lot, and I could imagine being in 5th (where I haven't found a
'wiggle' that would silence the squealing/grinding) on a long trip would
get on the nerves, too!
