Brad, I'm not a 'performance guy', so I don't know much about torque &
such. I shift around 3K for a few reasons, like reducing gas
consumption, and there's just a personal 'thing' I have about staying at
high revs for any length of time. Unless I'm trying to make a major
move for some reason (beating a train? ;-) then I usually don't need
the power that much and just like to shift fairly quickly.
Does this cause potential problems, though, with how the engine works?
I don't shift *quite* as quickly with our newly-acquired 200TQ, but that
may be mostly because I'm enjoying the kick of the turbo around that
point...esp. off the line in first!
