<<<If you're shifting at 3k you don't need or want a
turbo. A NA car
will have better torque at low RPM due to the higher
compression and a
turbo car only starts to make power at 3k.
I've heard many stories from friends about having to
take their
mom/dads/grandfathers cars out for a good run to
"clear them out"
after which they supposedly work better. A mechanic
friend of mine
says the best working and longer lasting VW engines
are the ones that
are not babied and are taken through their full rev
range more often.
I would suspect Audi is similar.
YMMV

The good old Italian burnout. My old '87 GTI always
ran better after bombing down the highway at 5k RPM
for an hour or so. That was about 90mph in that car.
I need to start shifting below 3k, I just scared the
s^*t out of my self. The storm that just moved in
made it about 50 degrees here + wet roads = wet and
cool intercooler + new exhaust = 19 lbs. of boost!
Yea, I'm enjoying this.
